Motorcyclists love the feeling of freedom, speed, and action. But when chasing adventure on two wheels, you\u2019re taking significantly more risks than if you were driving a Mercedes E-Class.<\/p>

This has always been known. What wasn\u2019t clear, however, was just how much more dangerous a ride on two wheels really is. That\u2019s exactly what the accident researchers from the German Insurers Association (UDV) set out to determine.<\/p>

The risk of being killed on a motorcycle is 14 times higher than in a car. That\u2019s a deadly rate \u2014 one that would hardly be accepted in other high-risk situations. On top of that, motorcyclists, as so-called \u201cvulnerable road users\u201d without a crumple zone, are often at the mercy of inattentive drivers: over 70% of all motorcycle accidents in Germany are caused by car drivers.<\/p>

Unfortunately, it does little good that motorcyclists are becoming increasingly safety-conscious and usually have good control over their bikes. Additional protection is essential to reduce the constant risk to health and life!<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

How the Hit-Air Airbag System Works<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Once activated, the gas remains fully contained in the vest for about 10 seconds before it slowly begins to escape through the valve. At this point, the gas cartridge can be removed, and the remaining air will fully release when the air cushions are compressed.<\/p>

The vest is reusable, as only the cartridge needs to be replaced and the \u201ckey ball\u201d reinserted into the activation mechanism.<\/p>

The wearable airbag \u2014 an idea that has been floating around in many minds for a long time \u2014 has finally become a reality! Hit-Air has taken the difficult decision off the rider\u2019s shoulders: no more choosing between comfort, safety, or style. Hit-Air jackets and vests offer the light, familiar feel of regular outerwear \u2014 and in an emergency, they deploy a secure air cushion that wraps around the rider. We all know the \u201cturtle shell feeling\u201d of traditional protective gear \u2014 and the many excuses not to wear it: \u201cI\u2019m just going for a short ride,\u201d \u201cIt\u2019s too hot,\u201d and so on.<\/p>

First, a cartridge is screwed in straight and securely. The coiled lanyard of the airbag vest or jacket is then connected to the motorcycle. After mounting the bike as usual, the rider \u201cbuckles up\u201d just like in a car \u2014 by connecting the Hit-Air vest or jacket to the coiled lanyard. The lanyard allows full freedom of movement while riding.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Only when the rider becomes separated from the bike does the coiled lanyard activate the Hit-Air vest or jacket. Once the activation distance is reached, the protective air cushion inflates within a fraction of a second. The neck area, upper body, and tailbone are cushioned, while the hip and neck pads automatically deploy. Hit-Air jackets also feature traditional protectors for the shoulders and elbows.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
